Frage von mcharri:Small question: Is it possible to shoot with a DVD with a framerate of 18 fps to create? I've tried almost everything and do not come next. So it looks like it already because of the PAL standard or not?
Perhaps someone still has a hint?
I'm actually S8 material, which was recorded with 18fps!
Thank you
Antwort von PowerMac:
No.. It is not with S8 material. This is only logical 18 fps, but with 25 fps technically saved. There are only 25 fps or 30 on a DVD.

So it looks like it already because of the PAL standard or not? Exactly. Even if it were a little advantage to you because there is no DVD player that output native frame rate and not a screen so they can receive. Even in movies with the usual 24 frames per second klappt's ja on the display page only at the latest models - and then not always synonymous gut.
If you want your film to video transfer, you can of course try your projector at 16.67 frames / second down - that is one third of 50 Hz

You go, follow these steps:
If your Super8 material was filmed at 18fps, you can still scan at 25fps. The video file, which then comes back, will also be stretched, which is depending on the software with the image or duplication with Picture crossfades can do.
S8 If the material was recorded at 24fps (at Hobbyfilmern rare, but possible), there is no need to edit, because it can play in 25fps, without it someone notices.

@ all
thanks for the statements!
I had this already befürchet. I probably left it in my avi file with 18fps and does not burn DVD, but put the data on HDD s.and attack via streamers to ... . Conversely, it would be for the purpose of playability with friends / acquaintances who do not Streamer o. ä better but good.

(..) and does not burn DVD Try it out with VirtualDub or VirtualDubMod, as a result, when you CTRL-R using the "Frame rate conversion - convert tp fps" 25 and enter the result (for the attempt of a few seconds) save. Should really go and to distribute video DVDs are of course ideal. I think in most cases will be possible next Jerkiness not noticed ...
