Frage von gsi-man:Hello,
I use Win XP on a 3.06 Ghz Celeron with 512 MB of RAM.
And use a Pinnacle Rave with Bt848 chip.
The VCR is a Grundig Monolith VS 540th
As software I have both Virtual VCR as synonymous EVE V2 tried.
The problem is that - for a few VHS tapes everything works fine -> about 24-25 fps, sound is ok.
For most, however, the frame rate under EVE V2 with approximately 8.0 fps rate should be, according to Virtual VCR display approximately
3 / 5 of all frames dropped (dropped 1 = 0, dropped 2 = 3 / 5 of all frames). How the picture is totally abgefhackt and the film runs too fast and the sound is absolutely asyncron.
I just put a different tape an AND is already a different frame rate (8 fps or 24fps)! The frame rate will remain at the respective cassette always the same.
What could be the reason!?
What can I do?
I would greatly appreciate a solution looking.

FireWire FAQ">Camcorder / recorder s.PC connect, capture and edit images
I think the Pinnacle is not part with quite possibly the bent of the VHS video recorder comes clear. In this case, only a Timebase Corrector (TBC) will help.

Hello again, thank you in advance for the answer (especially a much more constructive than the service of Pinnacle: "If it runs on some tapes, cassettes s.den it").
The more I think over it, the more sense the whole synonymous - in the television, everything is ok. When the cassettes s.PC Look, the picture has choppy because of (not only at the Studio).
Synonymous times had a 2 nd TV card (which I once got a gift, identical to the 1 - Miro PCTV Rave with BT 848 chip) tries - was the same.
I think, a TBC is probably better for the upscale area of thought.
Is it synonymous chips for TV cards, which have TB or:
images, which of my TV card to be captured are in order - it could be that the BT 848 chip is easy to lansgam the "bad" signal to convert and only Every 2nd Picture shows? If so now is not the newest chip.
Might as to use a newer faster card TV bring something?

A digitization via TV card is not exactly the best way to ensure such problems with them. TBC has a built usder A / D Converter Canopus ADVC-300, which, however, with just under ¬ 500 to account for.
Alternatively, you could synonymous better use SVHS recorders, one with built-in TBC.
