Frage von trendspurt:Hello.
I work just so that a relatively large DVD project plan. 'm In the area is still rather new, so I post here the same time my first question:
Can I use a DVD in different tracks with different transcoding settings? So the bitrate / VBR / CBR Track of such change on Track? Or is it always for the whole DVD?
Background: As many have said here in the forum, it can be fast at too low bit rate, that certain things pixelated and the compression work traces some are quite striking.
Example: If I am in the intro as a screen with a lot of typographic design as Stillimage accept that and then partially animate. This track should (if possible) with a higher bit rate - that is, with better quality, as more details are presented - as the following sequences.
Is this generally possible? What are the paramaters are set at all, if I transcode the DVD standard? In my first attempts, for example with Nero Vision, I can only set the bit rate and the sample format (progressive, interlaced). Is there more? Generally, I can in the MPEG2 format, still setting something like keyframes, etc., right?
I count on you and'm looking forward to your feedback!
Simon

Hi Simon,
The answer is YES!
VBR yes means nothing else than unequal data rates (even) within a track. If your program the "sticking together" of several Mpeg2 files to a track (later a VOB) allowed, however, should the sound to always have the same sampling rate.
What else are multi-angle DVDs, if you care for it. Here are audio, there - and video tracks match exactly. I can not say from experience but from hearsay, I was never particularly fascinated.
What else are also television standards, PAL and NTSC do not fit on the same (picture -) DVD, but finally, what synonymous?
Antwort von Blackeagle123:
Hello,
I think PAL and NTSC on one DVD is actually very useful! Then you have to be a DVD for various countries produced only once. Finally, we decide yes synonymous not whether we have a DVD with stereo or Dolby Surround with, but simply set the menu! -My opinion!

I need no on my NTSC DVD player, I just want to PAL. NTSC is technically worse, what I need the dirt on a European DVD?
