Frage von dash234:Hello,
'm new here we have another question. Does anyone know of are you with the digital cinema technology from? I would like a hard drive with the s.Kinos deliver DCPs, but I have some problems that the server accept my hard drive. The DCI says yes Ext2 (Linux) before (what cluster size ...?) - but synonymous Ext2 is not always recognized. NTFS seems to go sometimes. Can someone to me () possibly a projectionist to give a few tips and / or details of his technique with Manufacturer and file system format type for the plates?
Thank you for your help!
Lieben Gruß,
Sebastian

Ah, that is significantly than in schonmal Filmvorführerforum ;-)
What software for DCP production do you currently use?
And on what types of servers, there were problems? Typically enough ext2.
If you can not, I would suspect other causes.
How accurate comment on the issues ingest it?

Hello Carsten,
I use EasyDCP in the latest version. Unfortunately, I have only incomplete information of the "problem film" in Israel. On the one hand say that in a movie has the last 10 minutes no Picture (the record had previously been tested on our software player, iO - synonymous of Fraunhofer) - and secondly, that, in other movies of the same people not only recorded the DCP may be because the server (CineStor solo) says that the file is "Corrupt" ...
Therefore, synonymous, the question of whether the CineStor synonymous NTFS disks accepted ...
Thank you!
Lg,
Sebastian
: edit in ext2, I can choose the cluster size (in format) yes, 2 only supports files smaller until I glaueb 2GB, 4 is to forget Ziehmlich large (habs) and 8 is not accepted everywhere ... difficult material also. Actually I will go only so sure that all servers accept my records ... is it really so difficult? Damn ...

Should be clarified so now halfway through Filmvorführerforum. The G3 Server supports NTFS synonymous, but as a standard solution is ext2 / 3 clear target. If one knows exactly where that spot is a G3, you can make ne time except, of course, especially since, in this case I suppose 'accidentally' have a specific operation for which NTFS is better.
It may be a combination of course, synonymous problem that, in addition s.anderer body than just the file system is to be sought. Maybe you can get a local looking for movies for testing.
