Regarding the distortion / distortion, I have a technical question.
If the distortion in 0.5er such as a wide-angle lens / converter closer to the ranzoomen actually lower than in the maximum wide position?

Basically, a converter, tele no preference whether or WW, a more or less visible deterioration in image quality with production.
If after your example, a WW-Converter has screwed and now zooms into the picture, does the outer edge distortions not so much reduce the quality (ie they will remain ... only slightly), but perhaps others mistakes add the rather typical for long focal lengths (or more noticeable because, like chromatic aberrations).
An essay is always changed in any way the image characteristics (color, sharpness (there are many types of sharpness) and light reflections synonymous), and always negative.
You can still tend to live with the mistakes, but if a Wide Angle Not so often needed, just bolt when it is no different partout.
