Frage von flashtash:Just wanted to ask how your once a live concert in 5.1 mix would. We work with Soundtrack Pro 2 for Mac, but is actually no preference which program.
The sound we have once directly off of the mixer and once Atmo with sound with two microphones hanging above the crowd up.
So is the following steps:
Summenmix left channel
Summenmix right channel
Atmo / left channel sound
Atmo / right channel sound
How would you adjust the sound distribution for loudspeakers FL, FR, C, RL, RR, LFE.
Try it on course to study and I think our 5.1 mix already sounds good. Denoch we are interested about your experience and tips!

5.1 is at concerts mostly 5.0 ...
Unfortunately you had before the concert will be informed as to anything to receive regular surround are already at least 5 (surprisesurprise) sources.
At concerts will basically every instrument (classical instrument each group, if enough budget synonymous since each instrument) EXTRA removed and recorded. At the same time, you can if you want and have a suitable mixer of course synonymous like the surround mix make. Here, the individual instruments as sound in virtual space, as synonymous to the stage. Additionally, most Rs and Ls in the audience to do so.
For 2x and 2x Atmo sum you will get no real surround. Try it a better time to get clever stereo ...

To a true Dolby signals you need to get in only 5 of the recording microphones, it is clear to me. But I have not a classical music concert in a Konzertsal recorded, but just a little rock concert in a club. There is next to the tape just right and the left tower speakers on the stage. The speaker signal is just as mono left right before. In addition, we have far apart two microphones on the audience to hang Atmo guests incorporated.
Moreover, I was in a lot of big pop / rock concerts and have me there Tonabnahme viewed. There is only synonymous of the signal directly to the tape and intermediate stage and audience are far apart one directional microphone towards the audience in the show.
It will create a 5.1 mix. Of course, this is not a true 5.1, logically! But I've never seen a microphone signal back to the public record and later for Dolby HR and HL are?
Why should because synonymous 5 Mikros be, why? The DVD viewer is just a sound feeling like get real! So if I go as a spectator standing in front of the stage then I get the sound in real terms right and left of the speaker towers, since nothing comes directly in front of (ie, there is actually no signal in the center case). The atmosphere of the audience is primarily of the back and little of the front.
I now have the 5.1 signal so mixed:
VL: tape directly left channel 90%, left Atmo Micro 10%
VR: tape directly right channel 90%, right Atmo Micro 10%
C: tape directly Right Left channel 50% 50%
HR: Micro Atmo right 90%, tape directly right channel 10%
HL: Atmo Micro 90% left, left channel tape directly 10%
The whole area sounds actually very filling!
But that is synonymous complicated to explain!
Antwort von Marco:
I think, over 90 percent of all commercial live music DVDs with surround sound are "simple" stereo mix where Atmo addition to the rear channels is given. The work of individual instruments in the surround space to spread, rarely does someone s.and is vssynonymous musikalisch rarely desirable. A Music that is not already in the composition of 5.1 is considered, it should not be synonymous from a delusion s.Technik and creativity into a 5.1-schema-pressed.
So far, it is not practical, feasible for a practical 5.1-sound-just a concert stereo admit the atmosphere separately.
