Hello,
With my camera (SonyDCR HC20E) I recently had problems with reading. By that I mean the transfer of the camera via firewire to the PC. I usually read with Studio9 out. This has always synonymous work fine, but suddenly the PC, the camera no longer recognizes. Unfortunately, I have the Sony synonymous eventually discarded CD. Dumb! On the Sony side, the software can not be downloaded. Has anyone any advice on how I can still make the connection between camcorder and PC?
Zone Alarm or AVG may have something to do with it?

Zone Alarm and AVG should be no problem. Over Exclusion You can disable so easy.
The question is, what have you done for changes since the last operation to the NOT-operation. Updates, patches, software ...
Have you ever peeped in the hardware manager to see if with your Firewire (IEEE1394) everything is OK?

Yesterday I already deaiviert AVG and Zone Alarm and the SP's synonymous uninstalled. Nevertheless, there did not change results.
How can I check the firewire port, then?

Oh, one more thing: The display of the camera is displayed and the DVin Ein-/Ausstecken the camera in the PC makes synonymous Binbong or Bongbing! In Tasleiste but nothing is displayed.
