Frage von Hotte2:Hello,
I finally had my Panasonic NV-GS 140 EG-S and I must say there are between worlds in Comparison to my 10 to 15 years old SonyHi8-camera - but I have not synonymous expect otherwise.
But to the question regarding the choice of DV tapes I have read here already smart. Only one thing is still not clear to me: Is there a DV cassette tape synonymous different places, such as in hi 8 (ME and MP)? Rise to my question is this tip from
http://forum.slashcam.de/mini-dv-kassetten-vt23082.html?highlight=tape Different tapes have different polymers!
This does not get along with each other and form a "mush".
Ultimately makes the problems, namely the smears I've only been able to discover tapes with "ME". Or is this actually mean it, that I should stick to a concrete strip places like the Panasonic AY-DVM63PQ? Of the matter fact, I would prefer for everyday shots better tapes, while intended to be used for special shots more expensive tapes.

Antwort von Stefan:
ME and MP is not so much the question. It's about the lubricant, which is on the magnetic material. Among the remedies themselves, has probably every Manufacturer be a panacea.
You can ask the company producing the tapes. When come cheap tape and expensive tape of one Manufacturer, should have what you say.
Good luck
