I cut XDCAM EX, the JVC GY HM files 100-720 p 50 Native in Edius 5.51 to a Quad Core with 4 GB Ram Windows Vista 32 bit with an Nvidia Geforce 8600 GS (is not the optimal) and that is footed.

Hey gunman, XDCAM EX is available in Comparison to AVCHD act synonymous relatively easy and requires significantly less computational effort for native editing.
@ Cmartis: If you have problems in Edius, it may well to be quite useful to convert to Canopus HQ. I think this is comparable with ProRes.
At first I made so synonymous, as I had a single-core processor;)
HDV, however, should not a problem ... otherwise you seem really to have a very weak system
With modern quad-core memory and tidy but it should very well go smoothly ...

The system has 4 Core Intel I5 WIN7 64BIT 4GB RAM.
Yes I know it could be better but with the Avid DNX and it would be better ...
Must play with because the configurations ...

It was about HDV and not AVCHD. HDV is tape based and yet 1440x720, or am I in the woods?

Antwort von Bernd E.:
1440x720 was probably the short version ;-) HDV depending on version either 1280x720 (JVC) or 1440x1080 (Canon, Sony) is.
