Banana camera? ... Well as far as I would not go! The power switch is really a disaster! The few switches the switch act as a foil, I use rarely. So when you think the Z-models, the quality is quite useful. Actually I prefer the Z7. It is technically the same as the Z5, but has a manual lens and the CF adapter as standard, both wasich very genial finde.
The Z5 (4500 -) I find the price difference for identical HVX1000 to 2900, - almost unbearable. The only difference: XLR inputs and DVCAM mode. There you can select a profess. Audio recorder with Top-mic-amp kaufen.
