Hi!
I'm looking now for some time after a good cam for small features, documentaries and perhaps synonymous smaller (game-) film projects.
Now I am finally the sony dcr-vx2100e encountered. I asked a friend, he said that is the consumer version of the SonyPD 170 / 150.
The PD 170 cost you 500-700 euro more than the vx2100, has ever XLR inputs.
I'm fairly convinced now of the 170th PD What has the ever so because of advantages over the vx2100e and, above all, where do I get here in Germany to a halfway normal price?

XLR inputs would be a surcharge of ¬ 700 is not justified. The PD 170 is tougher and more workable, and is characterized in DVCam with higher data security on. She is top in 4:3 when high Lowlight qualities are required.
If you have a lot in 16:9 but want to do, I would rather you recommend the Canon XL2. This is synonymous rather sensitive to light, has Exchangable optics, XLR inputs, many directly accessible controls and a vital problem sharp detailed 16:9 Picture.
