Hi!
I am seeking a (preferably freeware) program (which are available from a variety of shooting in. MKV. Avi,. Mpg,. ,...) OGM to extract portions of the audio tracks can be used for a sound installation - is this possible with VirtualDub or is a video player (VLC, Mplayer) it?

A little self-help will still be required, because if you talk of all sorts of formats, it may be well be that times have one or another codec is not available on the calculator. Since then it helps to look back only.

Existed it's how: open file in VDub to curtail and then export it sound s.besten as a wave. Sound, if desired, for example, with external Audacity (normalize http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) Edit / mix /. If not, the program can generate the desired Endcodec, as a wave file and save as with Belight (http://corecodec.org/projects/belight/) then transcode there.
Note: Not all video formats can be opened directly in VDub, then you should either create a small Avisynthscript you or you can synonymous my DiShowAvi.exe (http://forum.slashcam.de/mpeg-4-in-magix-video-deluxe-importieren-vp164846.html#164846) used for reading.
