Frage von rush:Moin,
a quick question s.The FX1000 and XH-A1 (; s) Owner.
Offers the opportunity for each camera connected Microphone and manual control over sound levels still activate a limiter to prevent clipping?
Or does the sound limiter only in the automatic mode?
The technical data I have unfortunately not weitergeholfen so right.
I wonder - I hinzuschalten with my DV camera with manual level control synonymous deactivate the limiter or can feel and function as very useful.

The XH-A1 has only one knob to either "Mic. Attenuation" - that is, an attenuation (-20dB with external, internal microphone-12dB at) or an XLR Gain (+12 dB +6 dB internal or external mic.).
The Canon XL H1S and XL H1A, and Sony HVR-Z1E, ... A limiter as described have - how the manual works, I can not tell you but.

I have now studied the manuals and times have come, according to results. Vllt. it interests the one or the other.
The FX1000 and XH-A1s provide a limiter function with manual level control.
In Sonynennt they function well CLAY BEGRZ and can only be activated if the level control is at MAN.
In the XH-A1s called the function Max Audio and limits the level to-4dbFS. Selected if at least one channel is on manual adjustment.
Only at the "original" - Canon XH-A1 (without S), there is nothing in the manual about this - apparently missing here is the function which was then submitted later with an update on the Xh-A1s.
