Frage von melone:Hello,
I want to buy a UV filter for my Canon HV20.
Filters-General Question: Are the filters offered in trade for both fotoaparát as synonymous for camcorder? I'm stuck at Hoya and there is always the product page, etc. The question of "Photography", never of Film, camcorder.
Can I use a Hoya filter for my camcorder?
Special Question: My HV20 has a 43mm thread. The Hoya filter, I would like, there is only s.49mm. A ring adapter or remedies the situation?
There is complying with what?
Which filter did you s.Eurer HV20 and as you rangemacht him?
Schonmal Thanks!

Antwort von actaion:
The large thread sizes show that this filter set is actually meant for cameras.
Since the optical laws for videos, however, are not different, but does not that mean that the filter will not do for Vidoekameras. On the contrary, Stillimage filter must meet much more demanding because they have much higher dissolution and striking image errors in photos much stronger. It is problematic only in reverse order video filter (; and a fortiori converter) do not necessarily have sufficient quality for still cameras.
With a step-up ring 43-49 so it should work well.

Now I've got a straight 43mm filter of B + W found:
B & W UV (, 010) MRC 43 E slope of 0.75
Can anyone tell me if the match the HV20 because of the slope of 0.75?
Have the user guide to find nothing.
Antwort von domain:
First off: UV filters are meaningless.
Certain themes keep coming back and synonymous repeating the same answers. I belong to the camp of the opponents of filters, which remain largely constant only for the protection of the camera.
Even today, 14 cameras and 32 additional Lenses exist for me. In between times, I have collected synonymous cameras and film cameras, all in all, more than 100 objects, whose state I know or knew.
In all the 50 years I am staying just a lens that had a damaged front lens and exact, I had bought an additional needed because the scraping of a small part of the remuneration that is does not matter.
The general concept of protection can safely be forgotten MMN.
What else are special circumstances, such as film: drive behind a truck in the early drizzle from the open side window, is loaded without the canvas cover with split roll :-)

... Filter of B + W. .. Can anyone tell me if the match the HV20 because of the slope of 0.75 ... The slope of 0,75 is standard and is therefore not usually indicated with an extra (; exception is designated Raynox whose protective filter for the HV-series with "Pitch 0.75"). The B + W filter is triggered.

:-) ;-) But then, perhaps recommending Clear filter domain. I say, just to be my filter for the Popo, and you do not need you, always has a bitter taste in addition.
Making the filter alone in clean a sense, I had already mentioned once ;-)
I know I do not think the normal user has no preference whether a filter or UV Clear grow, which may be measurable loss of quality in the "micro" area is located is the mortal AAuge the normal consumer, anyway ;-) are firmly

Now that I have not said again. Of course, I used even synonymous filter, which was specifically yellow and red filters and infrared filters in the W-Photography and Cirularpolfilter in color photography. So filters are quite even and not for the Popsch.
I also wrote "MMN" (; in my opinion), and additionally, that I count myself to one camp, knowing that it is synonymous to another, whose opinion I respect, but do not share ;-)

Thank you for your contributions!
What solution do you find better?
(: 1) Hoya UV HMC Super 49 (; 19,20 EUR) + Special Hama Lens Adapter 43,0 / filter 49.0 mm (; 7,59 EUR)
(, 2) B & W UV (, 010) MRC 43 E slope of 0.75 (; 29.90 EUR)
How important do you think as a better filter?
The Hoya filter is rated very well, is coated Per Page 12 times, but only fits with adapter ring.
The B & W multicoated (; not know how often), I could not find any reviews, but it fits exactly.

Antwort von melone:
OK, but why is it
IMPORTANT! ? ;-)
Antwort von actaion:
B & W has a good reputation. Since the filter is also more expensive despite the smaller size, which speaks synonymous for good quality.
Antwort von ed-media:
It is important that the filters are well-paid, poor remuneration, as in Hama often the case, and even in the expensive brands.
I see reflections in the optics, stray light, and more
sometimes synonymous CAs of lens elements are poorly or not well
Anti-reflective lenses produced.
Many film-makers generally recommend starting of UV filters, one must deal carefully with the halt Optics.
I had previously worked for half of my camera always with filters, often has an effect on me really disturbed by reflections. Filter down and everything was OK, especially for HD because it looks more (; synonymous image of the errors) are caused by the filter.
Antwort von B.DeKid:
Because StepUp or represent Stepdown not really an option if you receive matching filter
... And if you have Probs with mirrorings times then make a sun shield on it ;-)

Antwort von ed-media:
Reflection, there is often even partially with sun visor, I know too well!
It's not always reflect the sun, but synonymous of thousands of other light sources.
Antwort von melone:
Have now the B & W ordered.
Thanks for your help!
