I'm trying unsuccessfully to DV material of an HDR-HC7 via iLink firewire into my MacBookPro in Final Cut Express 4.0 yourself. The Picture comes, but the sound is missing! Already in the system settings to work volumes only appears in the video box and hook the audio remains gray. Setting error? Cable? No clue. I appreciate your instructions! Thank you, Anna

During the recording itself (window "Log and Capture"), there is a check mark somewhere, whether
in the audio
recording is played. By default not selected. Everything is in order. The checkmark in the system settings is grayed out by default, but with checkmark. This means that video is
always recorded with audio.
If the recording does not actually sound that is the cause, perhaps an external Micro, which is based on "off" was. Tip: When Recording Headphones bear.

My God, so easy! The sound is actually recorded in the material. At the box office itself, I can hear nothing but synonymous and find no setting option. But I can just work - many thanks for the quick reply! Anna
