Frage von Julian1000:following question: Have Final Cut and a new SonyHD Camera. Would like the movies in Final Cut edit and then as mpeg2 with sound output. How do I make the s.geschicktesten, or what software is perhaps appropriate? Thanks Julian

Hello,
in search of answers, I am pushed to your contribution.
I probably have the same problem as you were the 2007th I want my HDV recordings with the best possible quality to bring a DVD. With Final Cut Express HD 3.5 and exporting to Quick Time conversion do I just not DVD quality.
I have already tried 7 Milionnen settings and 1000 burned DVDs without almost getting good results.
Maybe you're with your next problem came to me and can answer the following question:
Is not suitable QTF, I need another compressor or do I do with the QTF settings something wrong?
Regards

FCE has about but no compressor - or does it?
I habs his time with SD video and it made it possible in a lossless encoding format (like DV) and then to DVD with iMovie banned.
Vllt help you the next?

Thanks for the quick response
In FCE, I can see:
Storage - Export - convert to use Quick Time ...
compress the images. This is my real quality problem, which is trying to solve.

compress the images. With Quicktime (as with everything) is the optimal setting: Mpeg 2 with 8Mbit / s CBR 1-Pass. This fits about 1 hour of video on a standard DVD disc.
This rate should not go, which can only lead to Kompatibiltätsproblemen (dirty laser diodes with players who already have a couple of years ago> With a higher data rate worse error> dropouts, etc.)
Settings such as higher motion estimation represents only a difference in VBR, and VBR is 8Mbit completely superfluous.
Apart from this: Every Mac has s.Bord with iDVD. While I understand that it is ignored, I have never used it synonymous (iMovie already). However, it creates automatically a DVD from a movie, one of the FCE and Final Cut Pro as a Quicktime movie, current settings, best quality, independent film "exported.

and then converted again of iDVD, but only one of iDVD.
