Frage von Gabriel-Sancezz:Hello,
I need a new FireWire cable.
Now I have found a cable that ends s.beiden ferrite cores for interference of the signal has.
I had by way of exchange of the FireWire cable (without ferrite core) the dropouts, which I suspect on the tape had brought away.
Of someone you used a cable with ferrite cores, what are your experiences?
Thanks for all tips!
Antwort von Andreas_Kiel:
Have a cable as synonymous, since approximately 1996 or the 1998th So far, so problems never occurred. One other cable type, I had not.

Antwort von Ian:
The dropouts come from the tape and not the firewire cable.

Ian vg Mostly. But not necessarily.
For particularly strong Störeinstahlung may by electromagnetic fields synonymous Firewire transfers over the cable to be disturbed. Except for a 1, then a 0 will be. With all the ensuing consequences.

Do it again tested with the old transfer cable gives dropouts, with a new transfer cable and it funzt ...
So cable, which is possible, not "clean" transmitted.
Antwort von Peter06:
I have a cable synonymous with ferrite cores, but only because it just was there.
Must already be a longer cable and a few strong sources of interference nearby (power) so there will be mistakes.
