Hi,
I need your help:
Our school has a stationary recorder DV camcorder, and 4, two stationary computer interface (1 new, 1 old) and a laptop as a cutting room. Within a short time (possibly at the same time synonymous), all the Firewire outputs of the DV camcorder kaputtgegangen. Only the connection between hospital DV editing recorder for the new computer goes. Since the Panasonic DV recorder one of the first on the market, its Firewire port is not fully compatible, so the editing software (Avid Liquid) this is not remotely, but the film only in live mode to restore - and not off. 3. Can the actual Service Pack 2 debt s.den problems. However, I believe that Liquid does not work without SP2.
4. Has someone another idea for my 4 broken camcorders?

It would be pure speculation, if you like on the distance someone would confirm or deny. My impression so far are primarily computer interfaces will be damaged if you statically charged and the interfaces / devices affected. In this case, it helps to consistently anzugewöhnen, prior to discharge (grounded metal object).

A firewire interface can be synonymous with a defective cable will be destroyed. In the case of exchange of the cable (possibly synonymous replacement of the interfaces) the solution for more consequence to avoid damage.

Due to improper handling (violence) and poor quality cable, the DV connectors synonymous mechanically damaged, so that they can no longer be able to manufacture contact. Also in this case would be a new, higher cable solution.

The previous findings after so synonymous but this is just a speculation and would not be synonymous to the defect s.den DV camcorder explain the connections. - Or do you have the bug has not yet narrowed to the PC?
