Frage von kletzsch:Hello, We operate a television studio and make experiments with Firewire. there are some fundamental problems which we do not get solved. Kenn someone is a specialist in the depths of Firewire know.
Here's an example: The team record is coming the DV signal to the computer with the transmitting unit running. So far so good. However, we want to split the same stream to a second computer to use the video stream recorded. To this end, we have a distributor Kramer bought expensive for Money. With 20 outputs can be anything then. The problem now is when more than one computer to run with XP PRO is connected to the data seem layer or questions on the bus en sent each other and to disrupt the stream is interrupted. With a computer it's all good. But every time a second PC to the bus is coming disturbed.
Maybe we have something of Firewire is not yet understood and it is not because the system is einBidirektionales. In the analogues was very easy, everything is distributed over a distributor and everyone had a signal. Help what it off would be nice. Also on Kletzsch@gmx.de
Antwort von chlorophyll:
Which distribution of Kramer is it?
An
IEEE-distance problem
Antwort von WoWu:
The explanation is not entirely clear ....
The team record is coming the DV signal to the computer with the transmitting unit running. So far so good. While your already broadcasts from the File ... there is the purely feed?
Fifo their power?
Or is the file from the Az-team already on the server and you want only two clients can be accessed simultaneously.
Or do you want a client to access and leave the second client as a "slave" run?

An IEEE-distance problem can be excluded? The distribution is the Kramer VM-20FW
The distance problem is caused by data-line video amplifier (Dac-6) resolved, so this is no problem. Also, the VM-20FW operates as a hub that is bi-directional.

Or do you want a client to access and leave the second client as a "slave" run? There is no file is written, since we live almost exclusively send. The signal is of the streaming software on Wirecast Firewire DV Input picked. The signal comes from Kramer distributor. On the other PC just yet dranhängen
Antwort von WoWu:
What is the error of the WireCast client, based on the stream to be set?
"Attempting to get exclusive access to hardware failed ..."
Maybe even a demand, so I understand this better:
You must be somewhere but because at least something like a Darwin Streaming Server (at least) have drin.
I thought with the "fifo" because such a thing as a "FireWire distribution", ie similar to an analog distribution does not exist and if I understand correctly Kramer is nothing less than a configurable hub or switch 2 in n or n in 4th
That is now quite trite words ... maybe I do understand the constellation synonymous still not right.
Immediately afterwards another question: will run on MacOS, based on PC and what a Wirecast do you use?
I ask only because it is over 70 and FireWire protocols are not just "plug" can be.
