Frage von hp-m:Hello,
no, do not worry, is not standard issue, but with SP2, but with a difference;)
My Canon (; XH-A1 does not work) s.meinem Notebook (, ie which is not even recognized), (a different camera, Panasonic NV-GS27), but it works without objection.
When I connect the Canon but s.ein other notebook that is ready in no time.
In both systems, XP is (on it; XP pro SP2 & XP) SP3.
Is not the same Firewire Firewire? If the connection works one camera, then why not synonymous with the other?
How could I integrate the Camera "of Hand?
Has anyone suggestions, tips?
Thanks and greetings

No one has a proposal / approach?
I have the camera yet s.einen PC (; synonymous with XP pro SP2 connected) without problems.
It must have s.Notebook lie or s.dessen software. But I do not understand why the Panasonic will be easily recognized.

Time another attempt FW cable.

Thanks for the tip. I will then look at me, that I'll get a cable, but the combination (and Canon + cable), so does the other laptop.
Antwort von carstenkurz:
No idea whether this be connected with it, but FireWire and FireWire can have two different pairs of shoes as there is fact mwn UHCI and OHCI controller and therefore not all FW devices supports equal.

The card is an OHCI, at least according to Device Manager. In manual and technical data sheets was unfortunately not available for continuous operation.
A new cable I have not tried, but s.einem other notebook. There gehts.
New ideas?

I'm just not next, I'm already so far that I have personally drafted the new system. Unfortunately, without success. Still the same problem: the Canon is not recognized.
Has anyone another approach?
