Newsmeldung von slashCAM: Forecast vs.
Blu-ray. VoD - Addendum of heidi - 24 Feb 2009 13:20:00 Recently, we made a forecast on Blu-ray vs. spread. DVD / VoD
Wird with kleinem Wort erwähnt...

I think the video on demand in the next 2 years, the breakthrough succeeds. Indeed this is not of the spread of hardware, but the disposal of the broadband technology in homes. That is the big difference on BluRay and the advantage of VoD. The hardware has been using PC or notebook usually is.
The time for 8 years with Blu-Ray in my opinion based on antiquated times even without the Internet. The Internet represents a new but constant which is a multiplier. That means the media no longer get such a long time to establish much faster because everything must go, if you oppose the all-rounder wants Internet.
It is not necessarily synonymous to the successful transition from the DVD -> VoD wait, because this (illegal) already in full swing. If the film industry does not like the music industry wants to go, then they should quickly VoD with acceptable framework. Otherwise run the VoD business RapidShare and Co.!
Even now I can Vimeovideos in full in a very good quality watch (wenns was well rendered). One of the blogs (as an alternative news) and Internet radio stations will be the next step towards true Internet video channels (as they already exist in part) at least the regional channels which will make life difficult.
The only problem I see with VoD only in the pairing with hardware and access providers, because this usually is not necessary. But as the market will have adjusted itself, synonymous when some will try.
