... Do it now no longer have Media Player 11 in your hand, but if not in the file "View" menu or by right-clicking on the current picture, then logically gehts gar nicht. Brauchstu another player (VLC player can always at any rate on any format change).

... my videos are in the format 16: 9, but unfortunately has WMP suddenly on the format 4: 3 changed. Has the media player the aspect ratio of from changed (in the same video file), or give you up to date a different video file again, which never ran in 16:9?
Antwort von finne99:
The WMP has the aspect ratio of from changed. I had my camcorder with mini-DV cassettes and played them in the format 16: 9. When I've played it over via Firewire, I could at the beginning they also 16: 9 play. Suddenly, the car and format 4: 3 changed. I find nowhere a statement. Had great if I would get help.

So my WMP I can not change and he does not take into account synonymous pixel aspect ratios. 16:9-videos always appear in 5:4 (not 4:3).

4:3 or 5:4 Unfortunately, I have no explanation for why it has worked before and now suddenly no more.

... to the thing to get to the bottom, you have to understand with what filter graph of WMP plays the thing, and whether to take out what has changed since the time when it still went.
Unfortunately, the precise understanding with Microsoft programs do not normally, because MS is very little technical info about rausgibt.
No clue whether the media player such as the respective codec and render filter with the highest merit, or in a separate list he has to filter what he should take ...
In this particular case, I'll accept that a subsequently installed software (Videobearbeitungsproggi?), A Windows update or a driver update to the graphics card could be to blame (or DirectX, etc. etc. ..)
You have to Gspot with the tool to check which proposals for the rendering of Microsoft, and whether the proposed codec possibly of a 3 rd Provider's software.
Or you can onehin say that you have a specific software / update .... installed between the time when it still went and then ...?
Sorry for the technical terms, but without the go is not really me so "short" to summarize ...

PS could be a system in which case probably synonymous help ...
EDIT: I wonder, however, Frederic ... Why do you necessarily with the Media Player will play. The cause of your problem is eineige find out hours of work for you, another player like VLC to use only a few minutes work ...

Now Playing -> More Options -> Devices -> display ->
[I was 0.567 for 16:9 aspect ratio] ---> with slider configure or number.
