Hi!
Would like a few old VHS tapes "save" and this in avi files to convert.
This I agree with the first VCR via A / V cable to your camcorder s.meinen (SonyDCR TRV-25 with DV - In). So far, so good: I hit PLAY s.VCR seems synonymous brav the Picture on the camcorder display.
Wonderful, I thought, yet easy to camcorder via Firewire (DV - Out) with the PC and then connect with Pinnacle Studio 9, as an avi-file record. Think ...
When I use the firewire cable once ecke, I on the camcorder display NO VCR Picture more (once I rausziehe it again) and it is synonymous nix looped through to the PC.
What am I doing wrong now?

I will answer me, because I've found even synonymous - and maybe somebody has again the same problem ;-)
the whole is called "external signal conversion" and the menu must camcorder A / V> DV OUT to ON, which is "by default" to OFF. And already we go!
Now time to test how the quality is ...
