I own a JVC GY DV 500 E. So far, everything went wonderfully - until today. After a successful Aufzeichnungstag So I wanted the material eincapturen.
I connect the camera with a FireWire cable to the PC - as always. But this does not recognize the camera. After some trial & error (cable clean, exchange, etc.), he realized it a half - but then had problems. In Premiere Pro CS3 rushed the recording tool (F5) from - only when I ran the camera abzog about the application again. The last 60 minutes, he recognizes them again no more.
My question is - do you have an idea of why one day to the link no longer works? There is the possibility (however unlikely) of third rumgespielt have it - but I have nothing compatriots it is adjusted according to what I think might be related.
In the menu, I see as a remote connector synonymous only RS-232C - I can not change this point in IEEE1394. However, I can not synonymous not say what else was not set.

So firewire cable or the ports s.der Camera synonymous times can break.
First, the firewire card from the device manager remove - reboot - re-map will be found and reinstalled ...... then test if it goes again.
Then cable test.
Then the firewire card .... if there is a solution OnBoard PCI card is replaced.
If all this no longer helps s.anderm PC Camera test.

thanks for the quick tips! I am using a PCI Firewire card with 3 lines and use no additional devices via Firewire.
I have followed your advice - now, unfortunately, no success! I will be there afterwards s.einem other computers for free.
Apart of the possibility that the Firewire port s.der camera would be broken - it may be that Camera s.der is something wrong?
Personally, I am currently working in this field and can be used with little VTR (STBY & Save). Or car Knee (Off, On).
I place these points, however, to changes regarding the connection to the PC nothing.
I hope it works out s.anderen PC. Then I take my but apart ^ ^
