Frage von 02VideoFaBI:Hi,
I have a general question about the shooting with DSLRs (especially the Canon now 550d/t2i). Have found nothing in this forum.
There are plenty of Lenses with autofocus and optical image stabilization. Are these functions (AF and OS), synonymous in the video mode used? Both? One of them?
Thank you and sorry for the Schonmal DSLR beginners question ;-)
Greetings, Fabian
Antwort von Burner87:
s.IS yes running, continually
b) A-Focus, yes, but: The contrast AF is not useful, as it very slowly scharfstellt
The Quick AF is fast, but it folds up the mirror.

With the auto focusing you can before the start of the recording .... (Takes longer but in Lifeview mode) at the film itself but there is no autofocus.
The image stabilizers work in the film and can help synonymous .... hum but beastly ... So the sound should not be tapping into the vicinity of the camera.

ps.: The Lens, which you just sell, Mink, actually sounds pretty good. 50mm zoom range for me is somewhat too small, otherwise I would have already registered with you ;-)

It's me again with a question about the DSLRs and lenses to it (again canon 550D):
OS is probably stabilizer for Optical
and IS for Instant / Intelligent / I. .. (?) Stabilizer?
What is the difference between OS and IS? The same only different name? Other techniques? And as for video recordings for? Thanks ...
Antwort von Burner87:
The Image Stabilization, Canon Image Stabilizer states.
The technique is the same as in:
- Nikon
- Tamron
- Sigma
- Panasonic,
...
not to be confused with the sensor-shift (in the body, no lens) like Olympus or Pentax.
All are about equally well suited s.einen camcorder stabilizer not to come up however.

I submit: the image stability of a lens is not designed for long-term use, it can therefore in video recordings occasionally pumps / suspend. This leads to irreparable image errors.
The question of how long an image stabilizer join in the hours upon hours of torture is not yet clear when Rotate :-)..... finally makes it to my long time with, but you never know.

Thanks for the info! Is now probably a Sigma 18-125 f3.8-Canon550d + 6.5 OS. Seemed the most convincing all-round approach to be (for the price). Greetings, Fabian
Antwort von B.DeKid:
Purchase you prefer an EF 24-105 USM (used) which is good for more than the Sigma
We need stability in such a way that ISO, the EOS 550D offers eh only telephoto perhaps time.
In general you should leave the hands off of crude zoom lenses.
