I stand before the decision is a HC1 or to purchase HC7. Priced very similar, but reviews in the trade always cut both models similar to 'good' from. A direct comparison I could not find it. So where are the serious differences. I invest with the HC7 but rather the direction of the future?
Ultimately, I would like to short films for the Web marketing produce. Another question in this regard. To download times to minimize the contributions but before the next set compressed? Will the quality of HD eingeschrumpft so much that hardly any difference to good but conventional computer models (eg SonyHC1000) there?
A little trite perhaps for your expertise, but I for one would sincerely appreciate some tips ...

A little trite perhaps for your expertise, but I for one would sincerely appreciate some tips ... Depends on how much bandwidth you have available. With bandwidths s.1.5MBit / s and a decent HD codec MAY have better results than DV source material. But when that which is usually on the Web to find video is a DV-range Camera definitely out.
To HC1/HC7:
The HC7 has certainly the advantage of an optical stabilizer, the HC1 has a focus ring. "Future-proof" are both - whatever that might mean.

Is an HDMI output and the new XV color is not necessarily a reason for the choice of a HC7? The disadvantage I see but the new series of the HC7 Battery ... M-HC1 Batteries are the very common and easy to obtain ... Size and higher weight of HC1 is synonymous advantageous for 'smooth' shots, right? Which model would you buy in person because, hypothetically, at least?

Axel The question is rather, how you want to come s.eine HC1, because there are new so we know not to buy and there are rather few people are your HC1 again verkuafen want.
For web videos ranges actually synonymous a good DV camera, although not much cheaper like a HC7 will, thus, I recommend rather the HC7.

Yes with the focus ring, because what is truth, the exact individual shutter speeds I would go for HC 7 has not yet viewed, first only compatriots whether manual shutter.
