We've just got the HDC-SD20 of Panasonic. Now it occurs to me that we have the full HD resolution (; can not cut yet), because we do not have any software for it. Normal PAL resolution would prefer us erstmal. Does anyone of you, whether you) for (; and other HD cameras, the resolution can be synonymous change? To find nothing on the net.
Synonymous that would have the advantage that more goes on the memory card. And technically this should not be a problem, right?

There are HD cameras that can record in SD or synonymous to convert the motion picture shot in HD recording internal and then output as SD. Whether it goes with the SD20, can probably find s.einfachsten a look at the manual.

Exactly this manual I was studying ... But I find NOTHING in this direction. Strange was the entry: "Analog Video Format: PAL - Analog? Closes at the storage card from ?!?!?

Funny ... was the entry: "Analog Video Format: PAL" ... This should be related to the playback on a television: Depending on which cable you use, then gives the camera from an HD or SD picture - the latter, but it is analogous.

What a crap ........... I face exactly these two questions ...
Question 1: Can the Camera synonymous lower resolutions. eg PAL
Question 2: Can be connected to the camera in real time synonymous s.den PC. Had previously borrowed a XL2 and the (; directly for product videos) connected via Firewire s.den PC. Then have taken almost directly on the hard drive and the camera was just "eye". This is with the Panasonic (yes, because USB 2.0) less likely to go, right?

You can runterrechnen material between your recording and editing using software to PAL resolution. A cheap solution to this is, for example, Edius Neo (and the old version 1, there is still for 65 euros). With newer versions of Nero, it is synonymous to go, but I have not tried.
