Frage von xkoy:Servus,
I think I have a problem: O
So my father-in-law, the Storm HD incl purchased Edius 5! The part has HDMI in / out and audio connection NEN.
HDMI OUT s.den new 24 "TFT is not a problem! Now, however, so he has a Sony DV editing device, the front has only a Firewire output, which is already part of the aging ..
Google spits out to nix Firewire and HDMI Converter .. Gibts sowas überhaupt? He plays wiegesagt the contributions of its small DV Cassette sone in his unit ...
Maybe somebody has a tip!

Hello,
at the moment is here, another thread about this topic:

In your case, you need to get it all did not. The HD-Storm has no Firewire port, Edius speaks quite normal OHCI Firewire ports. So just as a card in the calculator retrofit, which is about 20 euros is expected. Most computers have cut something but s.Bord. Thus, you can then DV streams in real time via a D / A converters s.Monitor control. The father-in your existing "Sony DV device interface" (I assume s.ein DV Recorder) would be such a converter can function.
Only if your in HDV or in a high-resolution Canopus Codec want to work, you need the HD-Storm. The DV-cutting device helps you get nothing more. The HD Storm can do high-resolution signal via HDMI s.einen corresponding output monitor in real time. To do this you'll have a timeline in Edius create. This is just the real-time control. Mir is currently no known recorder that has HDMI could record high-resolution signals. There are transformers (see above thread) but this would be the HD Storm nonsense, because you yes on FW can spend anyway. If such times Recorder HDMI should give, we can certainly synonymous over the HDMI output of the HD Storm record.
HD Storm has yet more to offer. It is synonymous to the existing HDMI input of camcorders or other devices with HDMI - Out record. With AVCHD devices can be so difficult to edit this video format around the same by using the Canopus HQ codec captured. This is however an advantage of tapeless recording lapses, namely the data via drag and drop easily into the cutting system. You can still do, because should synonymous Edius can edit AVCHD (I have not yet been able to test). Moreover, the HD Storm synonymous conversion software, with the man in the AVCHD Canopuseigenen HQ codec can convert (so I do not synonymous experiences). In the last two practices is, I think, a powerful dual-core minimum requirement.

Hi thank you for your reading!
The calculator is synonymous Firewire Connections, we can not simply take? Should it go.
In the Instructions of the Storm which is synonymous of an additional card, or you can somehow the firewire or DV tap on the map!
Tomorrow will be the test times, since the 24's ":)
Thank you

Thank you Sure, the FW-existing connections, it should go.
The additional card you need not necessarily. If I have understood correctly, is it a hardware MPEG encoder card, which is synonymous FW owns. But why to buy would be nonsense, because it is already s.Bord FW. I do not synonymous, even if this card is available. I have not yet busy.
Even a small tip: There are some forums in which many HD-Storm and Edius owners can share. For example:

or
http://www.liquiduser.de
(There is a subgroup for Edius user-set)

I'm afraid you either need to downgrade to 32 bit, or until the first quarter of 2009 to wait (yes, we are already there, but it is not yet s.Ende):
