Hello,
I am trying desperately for hours to reach that my HC5 of XP SP3 via ilink detected.
Settings should be correct.
Synonymous've already tried everything: cable, turn, laptop and camera out and in, etc.
If I were in the "play / edit" mode, the cable (original Sony) once ecke appears "in i.ink HDV.
Is that correct? Finally I would like the images on the laptop issue?
In XP, but even doing nothing. Firewire controller is installed correctly. I have even the MS patch, but the attempt seems to be in SP3 already with it to be.

What says the device manager?
There should be the HD camcorder with audio / video controller as the AVC-band device appear. If the operating system does not recognize the camcorder, then no software can work with it.
Firewire cable is ok?

The firewire cable müste be ok! Is brand new and shows the handycam so i ne s.das-link connection exists!

Are you sure that you and the device manager does not mean the hardware detection?
And in Device Manager is synonymous not the camera, but, as I said, "AVC-band device" (or something in the way).

Have tried HDVSplit version 0.77! Geht nix!
Have more of Microsoft hotfixes tried but it just does nothing! I think my Windows is already so vermüllt with hotfixes and updates it for my Handycam no longer get through there!

It is the Firewire port s.der Cam synonymous kaput make if you connected on the Cam. If it is not synonymous PCs s.anderen goes, I would have a different times and try to take Cam. If it does so it may be that the Firewire port s.der Cam abgeraucht is.

Have yet another cable and I tried a PCI Firewire card für'n bought PC's were not!
Did my camcorder then my dealer to remove the hats but not synonymous hinbekommen!
Now I have it in a umgetausch HDR-HC7!
Am now home and PC s.den di schwupp Wupper already has everything worked! Without any problems!
Am now satisfied the fullest!
I'm sure the camcorder is s.dem beginning of s.lag
So my tipp s.alle: Exchange !!!!!

Cam always turn on when firewire is connected. Even if it is otherwise in the manual!

I do prefer it as described in the manual is!
