Hi,
I am a few days ago the proud owner of a HDR-XR 500VE around and just try hard.
Right now I am faced with the problem that I do not see on the screen during recording, as long as I start working. The background is that I like to record longer than 10 seconds, and have somehow got used to see the long run.
I've searched for some time, find the possibility to set it not.
Is it not about this feature? That would surprise me even at the camera :-)

Hi,
When you capture the start of the clip timecode top right bumper and runs with.
If not ..... look into the manual or in the menu and such you point out the question.
You say in the heading and next below the 550 500th .. then what is it now?
