I am here for more of the professionals to gain experience.
I am interested in the HDV film production, I have the movie on the Apple G5 Mac Pro Quad Xeon "with Final Cut Pro into HDV Full Resolutionaufgenommen.
Now we want the film on the Compressor as MPEG 2 5Mbps 2-pass 16:9 "Export.
Is therefore the full HDV quality?
Or else we need to tackle?

Sounds as if you were a regular standard definition DVD.
A thousand durchgekautes problem until incorporated and then high-resolution super film on a normal SD DVD to burn.
There is or there are already solutions, Wolfgang zb has with the players already Xoro directly m2 transport streams to DVD burned for more quality.
Or convert the MPEG 4 and H.264 codec s.Playstation 3 (when it comes times) or like the BlueRay player Panasonic BD 10 chart.
Pinnacle also has ideas and will be made for Mega Suite & Studio Pros versions authoring an HD DVD upgrade for about 50 ¬ offer to the film on an HD DVD to burn. Unfortunately, the playing device may be limited or expensive - just like BlueRay. The burned DVD Hd then the X-Box and some Toshiba HD DVD player.

If I'm already been mentioned: the bottleneck in this issue are of course at the moment especially the players, few can yet true HD-quality playback.
The mentioned Xoro HSD 8500 is one of the first device, which is high-resolution material via component or HDMI synonymous with high can output. He plays 4.3 GB blank DVDs as synonymous double layer blank DVDs from. He is not HD-DVD or Blu-ray player, but some on Amazon much cheaper to obtain.
There are several ways that this material is on fire blanks:

- Mpeg2 program streams with slightly reduced data rate - because it will be slightly longer.
- DivX-HD material, so you get quite 1 to 1.5 hours material on a DVD disc.

Alternatively, there beside the first, yet wickedly expensive HD-DVD and BlueRay players still synonymous devices, such as the TViX HD, the SC200 or synonymous to the Kiss 600, to play HD material to be able to.

Alternatively MPEG Streamclip.
HD-DVD: DVD Studio Pro can produce HD-DVDs. The are just nowhere to play. The HD-DVD players are the absence of availability, and price Ausgegorenheit not just the "Reisser.

We have the material still on the main way to export and the quality can be clearly seen.
We will provide us with a HDV-enabled multimedia box growth to the movie in full resolution to show.

Is a little off-topic, but I ask because it fits here: There were times somewhere comparison vs SD movies. HD vs. HD to SD calculated (both same scenes).

Werner did a normal 720x576 MPEG-2 DVD or not?
I do not have Final Cut, what is there 16 / 9 and 2 pass?

How? Compressor is a Transkodierprogramm, the media (via stack synonymous list) Convert, or media files encoded with different codecs. 16:9 means with SD in normal PAL anamorphic 720x576. "2-pass" in the English version does nothing more than VBR. So at first pass and detect movements in the second Durchngang with constantly varying (per requirement) bitrate in MPEG-2 encoding.

So from the beautiful 1440x1080 Recording a nice 720x576 DVD created just cheap, but I've ichs thought.
