Hi expert,
I have today with a HDV camera (FX1) filmed a birthday party. I have so far only experience with DV cameras. I want the birthday child to cut together a DVD. And I would like to go with the HDV material to work to see if my PC creates. I'm working with Pinnacle Studio 10.7.
But:
Is it better if I filmed material as in the Pc HDV recordings, to put it after the editing of DV Pinnacle expected to be down?
Or perhaps I should be equal with the DV camcorder to capture? And then stop normal with DV material cut?
Which method is better picture quality out?
I hope you know what I mean ..... ;-)

The question is much more then what you do with the video?
If you later have a HD DVD in order to produce like, you have to cut synonymous in HDV. If you anyway but just a normal DVD, you can do directly in DV synonymous cut.
Which now gives better quality but you can quickly find out. Create two DVDs each with 10 sec video

The FX1 expects very good down to DV. I would cut in HDV, the filing of the camera back and then play again as DV capture, for the DVD.

Precisely because I am relatively "future proof" would like, I have my Canon HV 10 of growth, as well as Pinnacle Studio 10.7 with the bluebox. If I get my material in HDV recording, I have only the possibility of this material via Firewire PAL 720x576 on the PC to copy / Digitizer. A different setting (eg custom), there is not!
I have a thought s.dieser agency error or my computer calculates the quality of HDV to PAL when I download the video to hard drive to copy?
I can edit it at HDV (default Pinnacle), but what use is it to me if only I must save it in PAL, but these are quality losses without end, right?
I would just take the first steps of my newborn record, and in the best possible quality archive. And once the HD-DVD Burner will be affordable, I would like this material then HD-DVD burn!
Can you help me how I should proceed now ?????

Is it possible that only the best quality to achieve, if I CAM s.LCD via HDMI cable connected?
I would have a much much better resolution / display of the video is expected! :-((((

Composite
Hosiden
Component
HDMI
If the correct input s.TV and the correct output s.der Cam is selected, it should still picture on the composite (yellow RCA smaller) at least as good as usual of DVDs (not HD, of course, only s.Component, which are RGB RCA). Many especially older LCD TVs have a very bad picture, one way or another.
