I cut on a MacBookPro a Project to HDV.
All clips with sid effects demonstrated on the first sessions, it was possible to view these ungerendert yet, the green stripe render accordingly.
For some time, only the red render bar appears, the clips I can not see more.
My render settings are as follows:
For rendering and playback filter and Picture crossfade if you change the Gecxhwindigkeit ticked.
Frame rate and image size is at 100 percent.
Codec is as sequence codec.
Quality is optimal and
to render of shooting always use the highest quality is selected.
If the real-time display somehow reach again by changing the render settings? (Yeah, I have already tried without success, but perhaps not the right)

Sounds more like the real-time settings, if it ever came sooner. The real-time and the quality of the finished product will help you if your timeline in ProRes is (rough render once, thereafter it's relaxed next). Need more space on the hard drive, is faster in RT.

timeline in the bottom left of the menu you can aufklappen RT, where I have the "quality of video playback" of "high" to "dynamic" and to render the bar is green again .......
