Hi folks,
have the following problem or task. I have a video with a SonyFX1 in hdv 16-9 rotated. That video is some upfront a DVD. Since the DVD still has to be quality in Pal, I just wanted to convert the final video in MPEG 2, Pal! The first question has a good APP Mpeg 2 codec?
I wanted to take this path in order umstieg at a later date to HDV have fewer losses. Let's take the next few years will s.in Hdv Blu-Ray and DVD, then I ought to just my area in which the HDV source material is exported into a suitable format.
Is this the right way to think or are there better solutions?

I go the following way:
HDV editing -> final format HD MPEG2 -> HD network player ShowCenter 200 -> HDTV ... So HDV / HDTV pleasure to view these!
Secured is the cut-MPEG2 HD material on DVD data disc to 40 minutes on a DL-DVD.
Nothing more DVDs, most anyone would like a DVD copy Meien necessarily high-definition video. Downscaling with my three HDV video editing programs, there is no problem.

Ok where the clear! But with your solution, but can play on any DVD players or data? As far as I know is hardly a player in a position HDV / HDTV signals play?
If I would now have two video files in Hdv, cut einwenig with APP, and then a video file in HDV, then from there to generate MPEG 2 as I do that?

The MPEG-2 codec of PPro 2.0 was s.sich quite well. Unfortunately, the conversion of PAL to HD is obviously defective implemented and provide poor quality results. So far, no one could tell me why this is, and whether there is a solution ...
Therefore, I currently go the following way:
1) I export the finished movie to tape in HDV
2) I play the movie (using built-in converters in my SONY HDR-back HC1E) in the DV format to a new DV Project
3) I use the Adobe Media Encoder to export to DVD MPEG2 in PAL
If once BD or HD-DVD available, I will convert the movies of HDV starting again.

As already mentioned, however, if someone wants them out of the relationship on a DVD, then he gets it with pleasure by downscaling and authoring with if need be. That is the slightest problem.
As far as I know is hardly a player in a position HDV / HDTV signals play? I Wrote up but already it with the network players ShowCenter is 200 as m2t/mpg with 25MBit/sec via a cable network ..., no preference of whether the hard drive out of the data or DVD in your PC.

With the Media Encoder for MPEG2 in 1440x1080, Quality 5, PAL, upper picture first, CBR-25MBit / s, m2t TS multiplexer (herausrendern). I then rename this file to mpg and then even to run smoothly through the network player.
The Media Encoder 2.0 of Premiere Pro creates in me a very good quality, have no reason to bitch about.
