The data on a DVD are encoded with MPEG. That is why a relatively large amount synonymous space on a DVD.

The first thing you ever need a program for DVD creation. In the forum you will find some reviews on various DVD programs.

If you have this, register them ;-)

You have to read nor vieeel more!

But so much in advance:
Embed to cut, so arranging the scenes, transitions, and you need a music editing program.
The Movie Maker is generally suitable, but not really recommended. Beginner better solutions such as Pinnacle Studio, Magix Video Deluxe, Ulead Video Studio or Adobe Premiere Elements are (with the latter there are in Slashcam an excellent tutorial!).

If you (only) want to bring the data to a DVD, then you need a car ring program. The above-mentioned solutions include the above, making them ideal not only for beginners.

As a pure authoring solution I can recommend to you such as Ulead DVD MovieFactory. You can order a menu before the actual film set, and from this can then create the necessary MPEG files. The program burns directly to DVD on request synonymous.

Everything else about this in the respective manuals.

I beat myself up all night and all morning about the ears in order to truly get ahead. You know, I'm no computer expert, and I do not understand the terminology. If I believe I have found a good contribution since Hyroglyphen standing in my eyes, I can not do anything, sorry.

better than Mark can not express it really, but I'm still trying. It helps to read only one thing: read read!

There are journals, Books and Web sites that you like that, explain what you understood here and in other forums relating to DV editing aufschnappst.

Earlier I had recommended you some beginner programs. They differ only in appearance, the handling and functioning. But all are good and tested thousands of times. If you already have a camcorder you've gained, you should still be worth 70-100 euros. These Programs are, with an additional view into the manual, usually self-explanatory and intuitive set up. And even if you do not want to cut videos, they take you at least a few specific steps to create a DVD.

Hi Jenny,

Your file is available in the DV format, so this astronomical size. So with your editing program after you have removed all non-essential, you will walk the rest with an MPEG encoder to an MPEG file. An example would be very popular encoder TMPGEnc (although there are better, but the true cost money!). It takes a little time. Then you have the file available in MPEG format. Then you take a DVD authoring program such as "TMPGEnc dvdauthor. With which you can have the MPEG file with a menu to bring inflation to a DVD.

Enjoy
