Hello,
I have a PVR Haupauge I 250 The capture of analogue material of my old vidocamera use.
mpeg movies produced are of very good quality (as good as the source material you can expect).
However, after importing the video into Premiere Pro 2.0 of good quality are no longer talking.
So I'm talking about the movies of them on the PREVIEW monitor very bad, immediately after importing into premiere and before I did anything. the exported material (DVD) shows the same error.
sometimes acts like the film too much through a filter SHARPNESS hunted, after a few seconds the image is then softer. then formed around objects synonymous strong artifacts (such as too much JPG compression), etc.
However, there are no interlace problems.
when I use the material in Ulead MovieFactory virtual dub or edit, the quality is much better, the preview image shows synonymous not this strange error.
someone knows the solution for this problem?

Looks as if the Resolutiondeutlich DV (720x576px) and would be less than the data rate is very low. Premiere may be scaled up and thus worsen next.
In what resolution your couches BEFORE clips before importing into Premiere?

capture with the default settings of DVD haupauge.
ie 7000 Kbits / s and 720x480 pixel.
should not cause problems because only premiere makes such problems.

If you want to edit the recordings, trying times in DV-AVI format to capture. Thus Premiere (synonymous as any other video editing program) is significantly better than the picture group with MPEG2 compression.
Perhaps this is a weakness of the existing analog-digital conversion point (-> DV-AVI is not possible?).

when I use the mpeg2 material with the main concept DV encoder convert to DV and then edit pemiere per, the error occurs but not limited to, that is true.
I just would like this extra step (to save time) and directly to the MPEG-2 editing material.
the error occurs so strangely synonymous only in combination with digitized film PVR250 + PREMIERE PRO 2.
mpeg2 other movies that are not my haupauge PVR 250 digitises were seen in premiere pro flawlessly made.
the other is the MPEG2 equipment in the haupauge VIRTUAL DUB or cut other programs ok from synonymous.
I know because I do not help ... the problem just annoying .... : (

Hello!
can unfortunately not a positive comment - but I have a pvr350 and record what I do I did not import into premiere since: premiere 1.5 simply crashes, and PP2 says "not compatible format" support of Hauppauge says: use the Ulead ding the It is.
of a convert mpg to avi (which you still might try) ends with crash into me synonymous with all sorts of tools - is an equally import into encore possible.
Please let me know whether you can convert to avi - if so move after PP2!

as I already wrote, I can MPEG2 movies with MainConcept DV codec according to DV format. goes smoothly.
it will work further in the synonymous premiere.
only lasts for the convert of MPEG> DV always halt its time. : (

but I'm just annoyed premiere pro this problem and makes others (partly FREEWARE) program working with the mpeg2 files without the slightest problems.

You are not the only one of many "peculiarities" and especially premiere of sloppy programming and lack of service packs annoyed ...

One must not forget stop to which Target is Premiere. These are not those who are advertising a few blocks from foreign MPEG and DivX movies cut it, but to those who create their own films. And there will not be with any hochkomprimierten format worked, but with original material à la DV-AVI or better.
Perhaps it should be superior to an editing software for beginners to take? Since Beginners less experience in dealing with video and s.Computer have been at capturing some mistakes (usMPEG conversion in order to save space), such a process synonymous Programs more compression formats. Otherwise, if the frustration among the target group is likely inevitable. ;-)
