Hello,
I have on my HG20 movie files, which I would now like to dub on the PC. It does not work. I get the HG20 somehow not installed on the PC) (WinXP with SP3, novelty of information.
HG20 If I subscribe, it obediently erstmal asks for "DVD Burners" or "PC", of course, take your PC. It is true then the message "New hardware detected -> Canon HG20 -> USB drive" or something like that, but it's not going next. But it is not synonymous, the message that the hardware can be installed. It just happened - nothing. Bottom right is it for this install character (see picture), but not anymore.
Then I installed this ImageMixer 3, because I thought, just so that it may go. But nil, Camera is still not recognized.
What do I do now? Is there any other way and get the files to disk?

Nope, unfortunately not synonymous.
I have the original USB cable instead of another that was flying around here grad made, but that's can not really be, right? Did I at least never before.

Unfortunately, no improvement. It is strange - it is synonymous of "Da-dong" sound of Windows when the camcorder is connected. The camcorder even respond synonymous - but then it's not next. Since I can remember recording to disk, yes.

or if you looked under Computer Management is listed in Disk Management?

Will Not Be Displayed. But in Device Manager, an entry is under the USB ports on it, I think "USB composite device", without any yellow exclamation mark.

It stands on the display of the camera only: "While the camcorder is connected s.PC not disconnect the USB cable or power cord. Off and mode switching is not possible."
But that means that I can do NOTHING, because it responds so nothing more. Then I must therefore consider the USB cable, otherwise I'll wait forever.

Just seen there are a number of the USER with this cam so have their Probs.

He refers here to Canon HK site where it was described as synonymous .... and would have helped him finally after several failed attempts
