Hi Folks, I have today an increased HV20 and am totally thrilled with how well many other HV20 owner. Unfortunately, I have never been a film of the miniDV to the PC and be synonymous never processed.
I have found a link here with a super nice clip, he is really impressive.

I would like to synonymous something someday, but failed to make me at the time the knowledge of this. The capture, I would perhaps synonymous hinbekommen, I think I'm doing it with Vegas 7th How should then proceed next, eg how do I get HD and purely synonymous on the DVD again so that I get HD on an HD television can watch? How do I connect the different clips?
Could anyone with experience of the HV20 and Vegas might help next?

Basically there are the knowledge of course, but you appear to be missing all the basics. Since then the same with such a complex software like Vegas 7 to start, but is rather courageous. And so much money to spend ...

You are right I lack the basic knowledge. I was in some forums rumgelesen and did not understand manschmal.
So as I initially thought you can with a Softw. everything, but now I know that it is not so.
Why do I need DVsplit if I can capture with Vegas?
And what exactly is "edge"? Together cutting?
Some Effects of course I can insert synonymous with Vegas.
And perhaps I can about the size of a shed. What is HD2, MT2, why do I need the Mpeg2 movies?

Hello iDive,
Vegas if you already have (you could afford), you'll usually need no free tools (I am not with Vegas).
"Rendering" means in New Viedobearbeitung encoding of the material (in the loss of quality to Org). This must of course be if you s.Picture or sound changes / corrections to make.
MT2 is the file extension of the HDV transport streams, as it directly from the CAM will be read out. The HDV-TS (transport stream) contains the Mpeg2 encoded video stream (1440x1080i 50Hz 25Mbps) and the Mpeg1 encoded audio stream (stereo 384kbps).
If you have Picture and Sound kommplett (artistically) s.Schluß All editing must be re-rendered are synonymous. Then synonymous another possible target format (Mpeg4, H264, XVID ,......)

So now I understand all this:
- Record movies
- Capturing with Vegas, then I get the film as m2t on my hard drive
- This file must then be rendered in order to be able to edit it
- And then somehow the scenes together and choose an output format.
As I render or make it softw. car?
And what format should I choose if I want to film a DVD to burn, because I do not have HD DVD, I can probably synonymous not the HD quality on a normal DVD.

Vegas with what you can do everything and how you s.besten read in the documentation (manual) to.
Whether you are under a Vegas m2t file .*'ll get, I do not know (yes they can use whatever internal). DVsplit saves the native HDV stream as m2t .* file.
Rendered no later than when you put your things worked ausgibst. That makes all the software your using auto settings.
If you have your result on DVD will bring, there are several possibilities. The decisive factors are then used to playback devices. "Normal" DVD player can not output HD Picture (no preference Wechs format).
DVD's with HD material can be special players (Snazzi, Dvico ,...), PC's, Mac's or play XBox.

I have Sony Vegas (or as a trial version) and Pinnacle 10th

Good, I thought surely not negative.
But what it can usefully (be) working with m2t files (when pulled down 24p or better 29fps?) Or directly as a *. avi directly from the Aspect HD encoded and pulled down to 24p.
If, if you ever pull down the plans to use (at 24p), only downpullen, or until (as m2t files?) And then edit downpullen / encode.

If you have a 1080 50i HDV camcorder, you like it in our latitudes is sold, you need this is enough. Then you cut depending on the NLE solution m2t files natively (as in Vegas), or synonymous over Intermediate codecs (Canopus HQ or Cineform solutions). In both cases as 1080 50i.
Or you have a 1080 60i device?

Preliminary: I have no experience so, because I do not process this material. But basically, the integrated MainConcept MPEG2 encoder the pulldown Vegas-internal encoding in that it can do so only there and in 1080 60i cut, if you want. But the aspect synonymous products are quite good, as you hear - as you would in the pulldown conversion to Cineform Intermediate, if you want to go this route. Which way is better now, I can not judge.
Apart from that is synonymous always the question of what the destination format should be. You might as well cut in 60i - 60i and spending as if the right wants to play and can be. Especially with our HD-vision devices is the internal image structure so as a rule anyway always 60 Hz, and for 24p gibts so far only a few solutions on the page of the panels (Samsung for example, in the latest generation).
