Comparison of these two camcorders is to the detriment of Sonyaus. It is true that the image quality of the Canon is better (especially color), but there are several features of the HC7 is not called or been denied.

Movie mode, Progressive ... I've been everything to me and viewed me as not really useful classified. For me, other important criteria, such as a fast-reacting autofocus is synonymous for the zoom and pan rides well use it (JVCs GZ-HD7 AutoFocus eg loses focus, it is much too slow!), Good sharpness into the corners out (JVCs GZ-HD7 is blurred in the corners recordings!), no color (HV20 distorted the colors in the direction of Violet color!), good black level (makes the colors rich) and well in the obvious camera, and a good functionality . About these attributes, the HC7. Unfortunately HC7 is not as good as HC3 in Lowlightbereich this minus point but I would swallow.

The HC7 already got one in May for 1150 ¬.
In the case of warranty have you send the Gt then to America.
The 60Hz and the 30 fps I think is very problematic ... and:
