Hello
'm relatively new mac user and even recent owner of the CX 550 camcorders of Sony. after the first movies I like a lot about "tinkering" on my macbook somehow get into imovie, I am now since days before the problem that it did not go now.
I have already tried everything possible ... According to Apple, it should not be a problem.
maybe I'm too stupid. would certainly be grateful if someone could help me.

where do you get the video files?
do you have photocopied them of the camcorder, or are they still on the cam?
(!) If they are still on the camera, or if you have the camera storage completely copied to a folder try this:
Start iMovie.
Tray (top), select Import> Camera Archives ...
Folder (or cam as ext. Memory) select, import, press clips and select Import ...
should at least flip Sun
Otherwise: Check the connection between the cam and mac - the cam maldet as "Media" on? (Switch cam, attach, select mode in which)
or provide more detailed info on the possible problems.

The video files are still on the camcorder

I manage to not even get the files onto macbook. in all the instructions it says simply plug in, turn camcorder and it appears the icon on the desktop of the Mac ... nada, rien, nothing happened to me.
and comes running in on the screen of the camcorder to the error message "usb device is not recognized. to stop the end press button" below is "external medium"
