Hello,

I hope someone can help me?! I have of my Samsung (VPD 30, mini-DV tapes) with the Nero 7 program my recorded movies on my computer copied. If everything works wonderfully. When I then weeks later wanted to film something, my camcorder has broken the following: In the recording mode, I have a black picture on the screen and synonymous in the Viewfinder. The Camera is sound, but as I said, everything is black. The player function works flawlessly and I can watch old videos. I have long discussed whether the camcorder down someone fallen ...... I knew not what happened.

Weeks later, I have a video camera (JVC, mini-DV) and borrowed a movie recorded. Even with this, I have Nero7 successfully copied on my PC.

A few days later called me to the borrower, with the same problems as I did.

There is for me the penny dropped that with my software (PC) something is wrong.

What happened here? If the camcorder can still be saved? What can I do?

Without a solution for you to have:

The software was not guaranteed, even more of a defective Firewire interface or problems with static electricity, etc.

Hello Thomas,

that sounds like the typical CCD has s.and dying with any software to do nothing. Wende Dich s.Samsung times. If my conjecture is true, then your camcorder will be synonymous after the expiration of the warranty period for free repair.

Basically, you can fix everything (leave). The question is often whether the pay. In the case of the described CCD problem you have to hold the check with the manufacturer. The description "black Picture and sound on sound recording / playback of older recordings possible errors" in any case speaks strongly in favor.

Yes, such confusions, we often times, usually involuntarily ;-)

Although the tip of Mark's probably more valuable than mine, namely the match, in fact, not quite to the error screen.
