Hello!
I wanted old Hi8 recordings (some tapes are about 15 years old) of the video camera to the PC through play. The tapes were not used for long or views and the camera is already synonymous easily broken (until now was only the Viewfinder broken). There has been synonymous everything went fine and I have the tapes and the camera on night next to the PC are allowed. The next day, suddenly did not work the more accurate shots. The Picture wobbles constantly and it is no longer sound. Only if I go forward or back coil can be normal yet recognize Picture.
Is it possible that the recordings over night by the magnetic field have been erased?
I have read that during the storage of the cassettes to be respected, but so far they have worked quite normal, were not synonymous in the vicinity of screens, etc.

I can reassure you, the tapes are not erased with certainty as to cassette to delete you have been building up a magnetic field, as in a choke-fighting occurs.

Analog video is basically synonymous fairly robust - my oldest (still ongoing) VHS tapes are 24 years old.
