Hello,
Since my camcorder does not have USB or Firewire, I have nothing else than my mini-DV tape via the Com port on your computer!
I have the cable s.den Serial 1 Port s.Computer inserted into the PC and output to the camcorder, the camcorder in VCR mode and now I should be with the Windows Movie Maker can transfer the videos ...
This works but not WMM says that no video device is connected, the PC itself is not synonymous announces new device and a drive was synonymous not there.
What have I done wrong and how do I get the DV tapes to PC? Is it possible s.Programm, knows all her German Free Programs with which you can transfer DV tapes?

Forget it - I do not know what you as a strange s.der Model Backe did - but if it is a MiniDV camcorder without firewire that you buy 'nen other camcorder or lend you one for dubbing.
