Hello everyone!
This is probably a very embarrassing question, but how do I know if the microphone is balanced or unbalanced? I have übelegt one of the following cables to buy but do not know whether it is symmetrical tatsäclich:

 or

 or

I would be grateful if someone could tell how you can see, or whether an XLR cable (male-female) is balanced car (sorry, am a Beginners).

 Antwort von Olya:

Yes, XLR (3-pole at any rate) is always symmetric.
 Antwort von Markus K.:
Yes, XLR (3-pole at any rate) is always symmetric. The devices must be synonymous, but a symmetrical signal routing support. A 3-pin XLR Female Microphone s.einem must still far there does not mean that a balanced signal is synonymous rauskommt.

So if I have a Canon XL2 camera, and Sennheiser Microphone ME64/K6 as did, I get it with these cables:

 a balanced signal?

 Antwort von Markus:
 ... Canon XL2 ... Sennheiser ME64/K6 ... with [xlr] cables ... Hello,
The Microphone is symmetric, the cable and to fit the camcorder has XLR connectors with phantom power.
 Therefore a clear
yes, with the linked cables throughout the signal remains symmetrical. But take a microphone cable (two of your links), none for DMX (third link). ;-)

Thanks for the info!
 Antwort von beiti:

If the properties of the microphone is not known, however, it is not so easy to find out if there is a symmetrical signal rauskommt cold or whether the conductor is simply silent.
 Antwort von Markus:

In the case of the Sennheiser K6, this issue arises, fortunately not. Because we know what we have. Good evening. ;-)
