Hallo erstmal.
Here I ne SonyDCR TRV245E PAL and would like the filmed material will have on your PC.
Now I normally connect the cam via USB s.meinem Calculator (XP). Has a bit rumgeeiert due recognition but now gehts. As a capture program works either Adobe Premiere or CyberLink PowerDirector. Both Programs shows no action. Now I have installed the original software (Image Mixer) and issue. However, I can not complete the 20-minute video import. At 12:30 min, he breaks the process s.and converts the imported. When he's finished there is an error message: No message = [IM01017] Recorded data may have crossed the open space. The operation was aborted.
But I'm free on that partition about 50 GB.
Now I have for missing an extra few minutes to make import. So now have 2 parts. Quality is not synonymous intoxicating, probably because of USB. Have unfortunately no Firewire cable. And just because the 20 minutes extra to buy one I will not.
Maybe even someone of you the same cam with the same problem :-)

Forget capture via usb, forget the sony software. I'm me in my old sonycam forever synonymous with the stupid usb capturing herumgeärgert-...
If you your video and not even the few bucks for a firewire cable is worth, it would perhaps another hobby is the right choice for you.

If that was my hobby, I would not have to ask here. I'm going to buy a 20-30 ¬ expensive cable for a 20-minute film.

Solution ... USB ... Even if the initial question, almost two years ago, let it be said again: USB is not the solution but part of the problem.
