Hello,
I have in my computer with ITIN Weganimationen always done and as avi (Windows Media Video) in PP imported without problems.
Now I have a new leistungsfähgeren Calculator provisionally PP and the same can be stored and newly manufactured (yet s.alten Calculator) Weganimationen no longer import ( "The file has an unsupported compression on"). A Viewer control in the codec is: Unknown Four CC: WMC3. Guess that means, codec not available in the calculator? With WMP and other players are the avi, but playable, use their own codecs? On the old calculator, I have Virtual Dub for once without any problems a DV codec loaded. Whole codec packages to load, according to forum is not recommended. Before I try as around expert advice would be very helpful, even to me because when the codecs are still some unclear:
- Codecs are written in C / Windows is loaded, then add new codecs download seems rather suspect. Some codecs can be loaded out where and how are they quickly found there?

As you rightly suspect was s.alten PC codec installed you do not have s.neuen. Codecs can be anywhere, not just to C: Windows, there is not actually a codec by default ...
Unfortunately I have no good by google infos FourCC wmc3 to get, so you ran by hand:
Loading graphedit you down, is freeware, and pull the file wmc3 pure. Graphedit then shows you, with which he plays decoder. Then go to graph - insert filter in graphedit and you are looking at the DirectShow filter codecs graphedit auto as the decoder has taken. There you can still flip it open and look where the codec is, should it come out about what the appropriate software decoder has been installed (hopefully located in c: programmedeinbearbeitungsprogrammcodecs)
Otherwise, do not have the chance an entire codec pack like k-lite or so to install, but since many unwished this.
Sorry, no easy solution for you since I was neither of wmc3've heard yet ITIN.
Also, nobody else is probably the PP except you can see if the codec is not installed.

Codecs to be found anywhere if they are registered also with c: windowssystem32 egsvr32.exe once opened. The rest decide FourCC, MediaType in the registry and Merit.
Another Sorry, you can not explain everything, but when it did know willlst yes and now the terminology can get durchgooglen.

Have me a little too early happy. About graphedit Although I found the codec: WMV DMO, which is obviously under Graph / Insert Filter s.neuen Calculator does not exist, s.alten Calculator know. Strangely, however, is unlike most other filters, not a filename and path (just a screen name, what is this?). Merit is quite high with 800,001 prior. In the graphedit help I just do not strictly synonymous (the Web). Under System32 I have found the file wmvdmoe.dll (old Calculator), could the size of her vote, but there are two almost the same files (per 4kB): Filters and Removel Component Rem. File. I have after some time the problem can be solved even now. First I like in my last post for discussion, the wmv dmo codec calculator from the old to the new copy and started with regsvr32.exe and thus hoped for registration. The Registry Server reports of synonymous irgenwas successful. But frustration in Premiere Pro still will not start. Next attempt, after I use the Panasonic DV codec installed in Virtual Dub to convert, load unsuccessful. Shows well that the WMV codec is not installed correctly. My Search the Web for the wmv dmo codec (circular load) were synonymous not successful. Here I came to the program but WMV to AVI Converter 3.1 (freeware-archive.de, the program's title a bit strange, but one is wmv avi file?). Charging can play possible, according to convert DV codec best import in Premiere finally ok (I had only 10% magnifying scale). Well, questions still remain. Is the wmv codec installed yet? The fact that all the codec converter itself has saved, will appear with in the program size rather unlikely? Perhaps logs but again a codec specialist?

wmv and avi are two pairs of shoes. MPEG Streamclip to Google and enter the program download. With this nice program you can video files in DV-PAL convert. Whether it's done with wmv, I grad, but a recommendable tool and free too.

The wmv codecs are special, different or more integrated with Windows than any other (which is why the Windows Media Player is compatible with the distance player for wmv). Ends here even my knowledge of codecs, but I try my best:
Wmv These things are not individually registered in the system decoder, but mostly collected in a Dll or so (keyword Quartz.dll). No clue why graphedit can not show where the codec is. For Windows Media codecs you can not really with graphedit ranrücken, but it was a very brave attempt of you, congratulations!
Now closer to the register of. S.and. Dll codecs:
Often these things need extra dll or other files so that they all can be registered. Usually you get an error that the codec could not be registered if the wrong or no dlls in the same directory. Some codecs can be synonymous after successful registration of graphedit or other applications are used because the corresponding. Exe is not running (eg nero.exe) and thus be protected against abuse.
I assume that you are the right dll rüberkopiert and have registered, but the additional dlls and other components are the wrong versions.
If the problem times with updates of the Windows Media Player, Movie Maker and if all this does not help, Windows Media Encoder synonymous in different versions zuleibe back.
@ wmv2avi converter: quite possible that an open source dll to bring wmvs to read, it's not big and the application itself is very tiny anyway, no graphics or anything. The latest update, I have all s.neuem calculator. From the FAQ of "wmv to avi converter", I have found that the codecs do not own everything. So was the installation is successful or the converter retrieves the codec of a Player (WMP and RealPlayer were able to play wmv dmo yes). With my solution with the convert, I can live, although the quality but at a closer look slightly drops. Still there, as probably my last Viedeoschnitt in DV and HD I Weganimation the ITIN sowieso no longer use it.
