Hello,
I have a really annoying problem.
If I have a iMovie with Canopus ADVC 300 to restore the old Video8 material wants, then the capture process is always in short supply on the tape (usually come through a change of scene with a long pause on the tape) from. One must always sit in front Calculator and the capture and observe where appropriate s.den early scene capturing the wind and again for a new clip to start.
Is there a possibility that iMovie is not simply captured and automatically stops? I have the setting "new clip at scene change" but it works probiert not synonymous ...
Is there possibly another capturing tool, which works better?

I would not be the problem s.dem Capture iMovie program notes, but to see if the Canopus ADVC 300 can be set differently.
Look to see if it is the Canopus ADVC 300 is a setting for continuous DV timecode to create. If the instructions on this is nothing, ask at times Canopus support directly after.

My guess is that the video-8-material and / or the player is not used in the best condition. AD converters are very sensitive to non-accurate clock signals. Perhaps even a different (newer) player.
Another software, which according to the Recording interruption continues, would be synonymous a little help, however, individual frames could be lost. Therefore depends on the positions s.welchen crashes take place.
The safest fix the errors by intermediate switching a TBC (Time Base Corrector). There are video-8-Player, which already have a built-TB (eg better Hi8 camcorder). Otherwise, there are external TBCs synonymous, which, unfortunately, somewhat more expensive.

I own ADVC-300 and terminating at the long absence of a recording (s.ca. 1 second) digitizing. This feature I find very helpful synonymous, except when I once again send someone tape that recorded after each scene was rewound and viewed. This is not favorable and the people should be urgently abgewöhnen! If already rewound, then even before that should be a scene in which the tape later to be ranked, so that there is no unrecorded gaps exist.
Previous attempts with an upstream TBC which consists of everything that comes as a standard video just makes proceeded so far little success. Next, I will take a SVHS recorder hanging between ...

This is probably your remain pious wishes. ;) The rewinding, watching and not professionally Wiederansetzen belongs to the same video standard as the beginner Herumzoomen senseless. That one for the cut s.Anfang and end of each recording a few seconds "air" should have, will certainly never herumsprechen. Some have not even curious that the tape a few seconds to start needs, and always cut the first half-set of a speaker from.
(OT) Other Department, similar phenomenon: I had previously often further articles, which some people in MS Word had typed. I will never know how many hours of my life I've spent, useless blank spaces and unnecessary paragraphs from Word documents to be removed.
