Thank you, Rudi. The article clarified to have a massive loss of quality - but actually for all Postproaktionen with 8-bit originals. Aside of the Order of color correction, what can you actually do? Great buy graphics cards, the "float" them?

I do not understand only one thing:
But beware: Most internal TFTs have a 16 - or 18-bit color, but per pixel and meant ergo pretty bad. Is this then mean that the TFTs no longer fully represent TrueColor? Why do we see but a difference between true and high color when the TFTs but only an internal Resolutionvon High Color have?

what can you actually do? Great buy graphics cards, the "float" them? This really does not what the software must "float". This may, inter alia, Blender, Shake and After Effects. The latter but not all effects. For pure cutting programs, I know just the Cinelerra under Linux floats. More than 8 bits to create any event and Premiere Avid with certain codecs. Synonymous and probably a few others.
Is this then mean that the TFTs no longer fully represent TrueColor? Why do we see but a difference between true and high color when the TFTs but only an internal Resolutionvon High Color have? Was perhaps somewhat exaggerated. It is not the most, but many TFTs are still working with 18 bit. I believe that almost all new models mittlweile synonymous around 24 bits, but if you have a second hand buy is the relatively high probability that 16 or 18 bit gets. As such, do not panic, the sentence should only mention it before the purchase to make sure that you're not a cucumber erwischt.
Many greetings

thank you very much, that was a very important info that I was not yet aware. and suddenly, I wonder how I know so far without this could get :-)

Final Cut Pro since version 4 in internal 32bit float expected, synonymous with FXScript plugins.
See here: http://www.atreid.fr/media/finalcutpro4.pdf
It was / is impressive, what (real time) performance has been achieved or will be, when you consider that it calculates only the CPU.
The new FxPlug architecture (since Final Cut Pro 5.1.2 or Motion) expects typically in the graphics card and the internal reckon always in float.
Otherwise support the field in cutting-s.relevanten applications (nothing against Linux and Cinelerra:) only Avid DS 32-bit float. I believe synonymous Quantel Q-Series but these are no longer really Schnitter.
