Hello!
I voted last time in ebay seen that a Canon XL 1 was sold relatively cheap. Now I would like a synonymous growth!
Now would be interested in me what the difference inside a Canon XL1 and XL2 would be one, as this looks relatively the same since!

The XL2 is true 16:9 and real 25p (full recording). The former is at least today, as all new television 16:9-format, an important point. 25p needed only for special purposes, and for most of them would now rather take the HDV model.
The XL1 is pretty old (XL was the first, about the end of the 90s) and still has some weaknesses. In addition, copies offered on the basis of age rather "abgenudelt" his (which particularly affects the drives).
Between XL1 and XL2, there were the XL1S, the opposite of the XL1 in many score improved, but is synonymous only in 4:3 good results. True 16:9 came with the XL2.

Now I've ne canon XL1 s "found". Is better than a "normal" canon XL1 and it is more profitable, the XL1S to buy than an XL1?
The XL2 gives me that, unfortunately, too expensive ...
