Frage von hobbycut:This is probably 'ne fairly simple question but I confuse the size information of CCD chips. What should a value of 1/2.7''say? Is this now a Reziprogwert or not? Specifically, I compare the Canon HV20 (1/2.7) with the SonyHC7 (1/2.9) actually had the chip in the Sony then smaller?
Antwort von AndyZZ:
This is an indication of the chip diagonal. Like Television: 40 "TFT are just as around 102 cm screen diagonal.
The CCD chips are the diagonal, but less than 1 inch = 2.54 cm. So, is divided.
1 / 2, 7 = 0.94 cm diagonal chip
1 / 2, 9 = 0.87 cm diagonal chip.
The bigger the number after the slash, the smaller the chip.

Yes, thank you that I thought actually synonymous. Then the comparison data at slashcam.de so wrong. If you choose the HV20 and HC7 as to comparative models from the smaller chip orange HC7 presented. I think orange is "better" or not?

About the colors, I can tell you nothing, no time for the comparison table (Money do not ...:-))
